Stampli Cuts Product Launch Time by 68% With ChatGPT Work and Codex

Stampli has shown what can happen when AI becomes part of the everyday workflow rather than simply another tool sitting on the sidelines.

The intelligent procure-to-pay company used ChatGPT Work and Codex to accelerate the launch of its Deep Finance™ product, cutting an estimated 243 hours of production work down to about 77 hours.

That represents roughly 166 hours saved and a 68% reduction in the time spent on the defined go-to-market and content production workflow.

But the bigger story is not simply about producing content faster. Stampli is using AI to organize information, connect teams, uncover business insights, and give employees more time to focus on strategy.

From Six Months of Work to Six Weeks

Launching Deep Finance required several teams to move at the same time.

Product development, marketing, design, communications, sales enablement, and operations all had to stay aligned while working toward a fixed launch date. The challenge was even greater because the company’s designers and external contractors were already committed to other projects.

Instead of allowing those constraints to slow the launch, Stampli’s product marketing team turned to Codex.

The team connected product information, meeting notes, decisions, and messaging guidelines so AI could work from a shared source of context.

The result was a launch that moved from an initial prototype demonstration to a public go-to-market launch and first shipped product in around six weeks.

Work that previously could have taken months or even quarters was completed within that short window.

What AI Helped Stampli Produce

Codex wasn’t limited to one piece of marketing content.

During the Deep Finance launch, the system helped the team develop and prepare:

  • A seven-part blog series
  • Launch emails
  • A webinar and presentation deck
  • Social media and paid advertising creative
  • A PR Newswire announcement
  • The Deep Finance website page
  • Sales enablement materials
  • A hero animation

The animation itself is another example of how the team used AI throughout the creative process. Codex handled approximately 90% of the polished animation work before a contractor completed the opening scene and final formatting.

Despite the extensive use of AI, Stampli maintained human review and final approval for customer-facing materials.

That distinction matters. The company wasn’t simply handing its marketing operation over to AI. Instead, employees used the technology to handle much of the repetitive production work while people remained responsible for judgment and approval.

This broader shift toward AI-assisted workflows is also explored in Beyond the Chatbot: How an AI Spine Moves GenAI From Hype to Corporate ROI.

Building an AI System for Everyday Work

The Deep Finance launch was only one example of how Stampli is incorporating AI into its operations. Before the company’s GPT-powered system, keeping product information up to date could be a time-consuming task. Product marketers often had to speak with product managers, check Jira tickets, review GitHub activity, go through meeting notes, and then turn all of that information into customer-facing resources.

That could mean help-center articles, presentations, one-pagers, website content, and other marketing materials.

Stampli has automated much of that information-gathering process.

Its AI-powered system pulls information from product systems and meeting notes, helping employees maintain a more current source of product knowledge.

From there, AI agents can use that information to help create content for websites and social channels.

According to Melad Zahedi, Stampli’s Director of Product Marketing, the approach has multiplied the output of a small team by around 10 times, allowing the group to produce hundreds of pieces of content each week rather than only a few.

AI as a Second Brain

Stampli is also using ChatGPT for work beyond content production.

Zahedi describes the technology as a kind of “second brain” that helps him organize information across a schedule packed with meetings. Instead of walking into meetings without the necessary context, employees can use AI to pull together relevant information, understand what needs their attention, and prepare more efficiently.

That can make a major difference when employees are constantly switching between projects, customers, meetings, and internal decisions.

AI’s role in helping people work more effectively is becoming increasingly important, but organizations also need to consider how employees can recognize and defend against manipulation. Cognitive Exploits: How to Shield Your Workforce From AI-Driven Manipulation explores this side of the growing AI conversation.

Turning Questions Into Answers in Seconds

One of Stampli’s examples highlights how quickly AI can help employees access information that would traditionally require another department. During an executive meeting, someone asked about metrics contained across HubSpot and other business systems. Rather than waiting for the FP&A team to build a report, an employee used Codex to retrieve and analyze the relevant information during the meeting.

According to Zahedi, a task that could previously have taken the FP&A team roughly half a day was addressed in about 20 seconds of keystrokes.

That doesn’t mean AI replaces financial analysts or other specialists. Instead, it gives employees a way to answer straightforward data questions quickly and reserve specialist time for more complex analysis.

More Time for Strategy

Perhaps the most important benefit for Stampli’s product marketing team is what happens after the repetitive work disappears.

With less time spent collecting information, recreating context, and producing routine assets, employees can spend more time thinking about the company’s products and broader strategy.

The team is increasingly involved in conversations with VPs and C-suite leaders around product and corporate strategy.

ChatGPT Work also acts as a brainstorming and preparation partner. Employees use it to:

  • Explore ideas
  • Build stakeholder personas
  • Deepen their understanding of subjects
  • Test recommendations
  • Prepare for leadership discussions
  • Challenge their own thinking

The result is not simply a faster marketing department. It is a team with more capacity to contribute to higher-level business decisions.

AI Is Also Changing Healthcare and Other Industries

Stampli’s experience reflects a much larger change taking place across industries.

AI is increasingly used to organize information, automate repetitive processes, support decision-making, and free professionals to focus on work that requires human judgment.

Healthcare is another area where technology is being explored alongside the need to preserve meaningful human interaction. For more on that development, see Bridging the Care Gap: How AI Is Restoring the Human Touch to Medicine.

The common thread is not simply automation. It is about finding ways for AI to handle parts of a workflow while people remain responsible for important decisions.

What’s Next for Stampli?

The Deep Finance launch has given Stampli a model for how an AI-supported product cycle can operate. The company is now looking at ways to extend the approach to additional products, workflows, and go-to-market programs. For Zahedi, one of the biggest benefits is the shift in employees’ beliefs about what they can take on.

With ChatGPT Work and Codex, the team has been able to learn new disciplines, develop internal systems, experiment with ideas, and take on work that previously would have required more time or additional resources. The Stampli case ultimately shows that the real value of workplace AI may not be about replacing people. It may be about removing bottlenecks, connecting information, speeding up execution, and giving people more room to think strategically.

And when those gains are repeated across everyday workflows, not just during a major product launch, the impact can extend far beyond saving a few hours.
